Google Analytics Integration for Encentiv Rebate Finder

Now you can start tracking visits and impressions with your Encentiv Rebate Finder and start building reports in GA or Data Studio

The Encentiv Rebate Finder provides direct integration into Google Analytics Events capabilities. Many of its tracked activities into the GA Events model of Category, Action, and Label. We are not using Value at this time.

Setup

Google Analytics tracking code must be installed on the page hosting the widget. If you have GA already on your site, the hosting page is probably already being tracked so you will most likely not have to take any action on this step. Technical implementation note: the widget “hooks” into the tracking code already on the page, so event data will be associated with whichever property is already tracking the page.

Activate the integration on the widget console page in the Encentivizer portal

    1. Login here
    2. Scroll down to the Functionalities section, then change the Google Analytics Integration to Yes
    3. Add the optional Tracking ID which can be found under Property Settings in your GA account
    4. Click the Update Settings button at the top of the widget dashboard

Once active, the tool will immediately begin sending events to Google Analytics through your existing tracking. This is not retroactive.

Where to find Encentiv Events

Events can be found in two primary places in Google Analytics: Realtime and Behavior. There are several reports in these locations that focus on Events. Additionally, many other reports can add events as additional dimensions, for example showing events in the context of Channel or Campaigns.

Bounce Rate

Another improvement offered by the integration is a decreased bounce rate of the page hosting the widget. Event activity influences the bounce rate since it is an indicator of additional activity.
